The TE-5S-MD has pumped acetic acid, citric acid, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, potassium chloride, potassium hydroxide, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), fresh water, salt water, and many other chemicals. The TE-5S-MD may have been modified to handle these chemicals. This pump may require modification to pump liquids with densities, viscosities, or elevated temperatures different from ambient water. The March Pump TE-5S-MD industrial pump is a hermetically sealed, sealless magnetic drive centrifugal pump manufactured in the U.S.A., ideal for applications such as chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, and scrubbing systems. It is capable of producing a maximum flow of 18 GPM at 7 feet of head and has a maximum lift of 29 feet (12 PSI). The standard wetted parts are made of 316 stainless steel, Viton, and ceramic. The inlet connection is 1" FPT and the outlet connection is 1/2" MPT. There are two standard motors. The first is a 1/4 HP, 60 Hz, 115/230V and 50 Hz 110/220V, TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled), 1 PH motor. The second is a 1/5 HP, 60 Hz, 230/460V and 50 Hz 190/380V, TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled), IEC, 3 PH motor. Performance differences exist between frequency options. The maximum internal pressure the pump can withstand is 200 PSI and the maximum liquid temperature is 250°F or 121°C.
