The TE-5R-MD has pumped acetic acid, citric acid, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, hydrochloric acid (muriatic), nitric acid, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), sodium chloride, sulfuric acid, fresh water, salt water, deionized water and many other chemicals. The TE-5R-MD may have been modified to handle these chemicals. This pump may require modifications to pump liquids with elevated densities, viscosities, or temperatures other than ambient water. The standard wetted parts (materials that come into contact with solution) are made of Ryton, Viton, and Ceramic. The inlet connection is 1 inch Female thread and the outlet connection is 1/2 inch Male thread. There are two standard motors. The first is a 1/4 HP, 60 Hz, 115/230V and 50 Hz, 110/220V, TENV, Fan Cooled, ODP motor. The second is a 1/4 HP, 60 Hz, 230/460V and 50 Hz, 190/380V, IEC, TENV, Fan Cooled, ODP motor. There are performance differences between the various frequency options. The maximum internal pressure the pump can withstand is 75 PSI and the maximum liquid temperature is 200°F or 93°C.
